Modern Niagara Sets a New Standard in Conservation
From 375 acres to 1,455—and counting: Our partnership with Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation is driving lasting environmental impact and carbon storage for generations to come.
Our Impact
Thanks to our partnership with the Rideau Valley Conservation Foundation (RVCF), Modern Niagara has achieved outstanding conservation results:
- 1,455 acres protected, including:
- 782 acres of forest
- 298 acres of wetlands
- 108 acres of newly afforested land
- 60 acres of grasslands
- 349,814 tonnes of carbon sequestered
We’ve far exceeded our original goal of protecting 375 acres over five years. And we’re not stopping there—an additional 247 acres (including 210+ acres of wetlands) is now being finalized. This will significantly boost both immediate and long‑term carbon storage.
These achievements reflect our voluntary leadership in conservation and represent an enduring investment in protecting sensitive lands for generations to come.
