Modern Niagara Debuts Advanced Training Facility at 945 Princess Street
Kingston, Ontario – A state-of-the-art training facility has opened at 945 Princess Street, providing organizations with a premier venue for advanced learning and development opportunities. The Modern Niagara Event Centre at 945 Princess Street spans 5,000 square feet and features a range of versatile spaces designed to meet diverse learning needs.
“The Modern Niagara Event Centre is designed with flexibility and creativity of training programs in mind. The training facility provides a dynamic space where growth and collaboration thrive. Whether you’re hosting a team workshop, training session, or corporate event, our versatile venue at 945 Princess Street offers the perfect setting for businesses to connect, learn, and innovate,” said Andrew Creese, Director of Investments at Modern Niagara.
The large training room comfortably accommodates up to 30 participants, while two smaller rooms—each seating 20—can be combined to host up to 40 attendees. The total capacity of the training centre, including its spacious concourse, is 250, making it an ideal venue for both large-scale gatherings and intimate breakout sessions.
“The new training facility is truly game-changing, and one of the most impactful aspects was how it allowed teams to fully focus on training without the usual day-to-day distractions,” added Jason Crosbie, Director, National Field Operations at Modern Niagara.
This flexibility allows for simultaneous breakout sessions and personalized training tailored to participants’ skill levels, providing a more focused and impactful learning experience.
“With multiple training rooms available, we could run simultaneous breakout sessions and tailor classes to skill levels and previous experience, something we’ve never been able to do before. This individualized approach allowed us to target specific learning needs and build more comprehensive skill sets in our participants,” Crosbie explained.
As part of the sustainable innovation hub at 945 Princess Street, the newly opened training facility is built to foster collaboration, enabling participants to fully immerse themselves in training and development programs.
“It’s great to have a facility that allows for the learning initiatives that Modern Niagara has. Having a common place for teams to gather allows for an enhanced learning experience. In addition, being away from our busy jobs and in our training facility allows for us to be in a less interrupted environment to allow more engagement and focus,” shared Neil Mols, Regional Superintendent Piping at Modern Niagara – a recent training participant.
The facility includes access to an outdoor patio space, with plans for future enhancements to provide additional space for informal discussions and gatherings.
