Project Highlights:
Calgary Transit needed a new facility to house its fleet of compressed natural gas (CNG) and diesel buses — one equipped to handle high-temperature exhaust extraction. Modern Niagara was pleased to meet the needs of this design assist contract by manufacturing and installing more than six kilometres of spiral and square ductwork (galvanized steel, stainless steel and welded).
The now-operational 500,000 sq ft facility can store 480 buses (including overflow), and includes 36 maintenance bays, on-site compressed natural gas fueling infrastructure, and staff facilities.
Modern Niagara’s services included:
- Sheet metal fabrication and installation
