Modern Niagara Secures Pre-approval for $3.34 Million in Save on Energy Incentives to Support Major Data Centre Expansion

Toronto, Ontario – Modern Niagara has secured pre-approval for $3.34 million in incentives under Ontario’s Save on Energy Retrofit Program, in support of a large-scale expansion project for a state-of-the-art data centre in the Greater Toronto Area.

The expansion, designed and delivered in collaboration with the client’s project team, will integrate multiple high-efficiency air-cooled chillers. The new cooling infrastructure is expected to achieve an estimated annual avoided electricity consumption of 1,590,600 kWh, delivering measurable environmental and operational benefits.

The Save on Energy Retrofit Program, administered by the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO), provides capital incentives to eligible organizations investing in energy-efficient equipment and process improvements.

“We continually look for ways to provide added value to our clients. Through a consultative approach during the early estimating phase, we identified the chillers as a significant incentive opportunity. The client greatly appreciated the team bringing the incentive forward, helping them offset a portion of the project cost and strengthen our existing relationship,” said Kyle Wilson, Sales Enablement Manager (Energy Solutions), at Modern Niagara.

Modern Niagara’s involvement reflects its proven capability in delivering technically complex, high-performance solutions for Canada’s most demanding infrastructure assets.
