Modern Niagara is here to help industrial, commercial, and institutional (ICI), and multi-residential building owners and operators make equipment improvements to reduce their energy consumption through the BizEnergySaver Program.

This program helps address local electricity system constraints in Ottawa by offering upfront incentives and direct installation of LED upgrades, adaptive lighting controls in areas such as exit stairwells and parking garages, high bay lighting upgrades and controls, variable frequency drives (VFDs) for pump systems and fans, and parking garage exhaust fan controls.

As a qualified delivery partner, Modern Niagara is here to help with the on-site assessment, energy efficiency recommendations, the program’s instant discount application process, and equipment installation.

Qualifying for the BizEnergySaver Program

You are eligible if you either own the building or have the owner’s permission to have the equipment installed; and the first three digits of the building’s postal code are one of the following:

Participating in the BizEnergySaver program allows you to quickly and easily make equipment improvements to reduce energy consumption, at a reduced cost.

Effective November 13, 2023, the BizEnergySaver program is offering higher incentives for VFD measures. The revised incentive levels cover at least 75% of eligible project costs, with most VFD upgrades being offered for free for projects that meet eligibility.
